Keripik Pisang Beromset Rp90 Juta

INILAH.COM, Jakarta – Pisang adalah buah yang sangat melimpah di daerahnya. Ia pun berinisiatif mengolah pisang menjadi berbagai macam keripik. Siapa sangka, ini adalah peluang bisnis yang sangat menguntungkan.

“Sekarang ini, saya bisa memperoleh laba Rp90 juta setiap bulannya,” ujar Santi, pemilik Istana Keripik Pisang Ibu Merry ketika ditemui INILAH.COM saat mengikuti festival UKM di Jakarta.

Santi tergerak mengolah pisang, setelah menyadari pasokan pisang yang melimpah di kota asalnya, Lampung. Sebagai modal awal, ia pun rela merogoh kocek Rp3 juta untuk membeli peralatan pembuatan keripik serta bahan baku pisang.

“Pisang kan merupakan jenis oleh-oleh khas Lampung dan murah serta banyak, sehingga saya melihatnya sebagai peluang,”katanya.

Tak disangka, keripik buatannya digemari masyarakat luas. Pesanan pun mulai datang, hingga kini ia kebanjiran order. “Alhamdulilah kripik pisang saya disukai masyarakat Lampung maupun di luar Lampung,” ucapnya.

Dalam sehari, Santi bisa mengahabiskan 400 sampai 500 sisir pisang. Ini untuk memproduksi 200 kg kripik pisang. Mengenai jenisnya, pisang kepok menjadi pilihan karena diangapnya lebih enak dan renyah. Harga keripik pisang yang di tawarkan Santi tidak terlalu mahal, antara Rp15 ribu sampai Rp35 ribu per kantong.

Meski kebutuhan bahan bakunya cukup besar, perempuan berusia 30 tahun ini mengaku tidak kerepotan. Pasalnya, buah pisang di daerahnya sangat melimpah. Untuk pengolahan kripik pisang, Santi di bantu karyawannya yang berjumlah 15 orang.

Memulai usaha sejak 2005, kini toko keripik pisang Santi sudah berjumlah tiga di Lampung dan tiga lagi di pulau Jawa, yakni Jakarta, Surabaya dan Solo. Untuk memperluas pasaran, ia pun rajin mengikuti pelbagai pameran di kota besar bahkan luar negeri.

“Baru-baru ini kami ke Singapura untuk mengikuti pameran disana, dengan begitu kami berharap produk kripik pisang yang kami buat, bisa tembus ke pasar luar negeri,” tuturnya.

Demi menarik penggemar, Santi pun terus berinovasi, salah satunya dengan memperkaya rasa. Hingga kini, ada sekitar 10 rasa yang ditawarkan, dari manis, asin hingga rasa keju. “Kami sekarang juga menawarkan keripik pisang dengan potongan mirip sarang tawon,” ujarnya.

Tidak puas hanya dengan pisang, Santi kini mulai melirik bahan baku lain untuk keripik. Pilihannya adalah talas, ubi, dan singkong. Apakah berhasil? Kita tunggu saja? [ast]
